Artist Mark Spicak
sold his first painting in Alice, Texas, for 40 bucks. Today the prices for his oil paintings range from $400 to $4000, and the demand for his work is increasing ... as the proprietors of the
Mural Gallery, Roadside Attraction Gallery, and the 29 Palms Inn in 29 Palms, California, will tell you.
They sell his works regularly to loyal collectors and art buyers from all areas of California, the Southwest, and throughout the U.S.

A master of moving light and shadow, subtle desert hues and tones, and incredibly realistic clouds and mountains ... artist Mark Spicak has produced oil paintings of our Mojave Desert landscape that are among the
most outstanding ever created. Many desert art collectors consider Spicak to be "the John Hilton of the new era," as his gently-hued sunsrise and sunset landscapes border a fine line between realism and impressionism, and capture the true essence of the spacious vistas we desert dwellers see everyday.
This resident 29 Palms, California, artist has many oil paintings currently available, in sizes ranging from 9 x 12 to 36 x 48. He is also available for commissions.

magazine.

Mark Spicak's art hangs in commercial buildings as well as private collections--in homes in London, New York City, Florida; throughout California, even in the home of a Hollywood designer; and as far away as South
Africa. His Mojave desert landscape paintings are currently available at the Mural Gallery & Gifts, the 29 Palms Inn, and Roadside Attraction Gallery in 29 Palms, and online through gallery29.com.
In 1999, Mark Spicak was commissioned to paint an indoor mural for the new First Community Bank building in 29 Palms, which was unveiled on April 15, 1999.
The mural is a 7' x 21' oil painting of the Mojave desert landscape, with a panoramic view from 29 Palms, facing to the North at sunset. (photo below)
